turn your trinkets to treasure
The Phoenix Diocesan Council for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul operates 17 thrift stores across central and northern Arizona. The thrift stores are important in two very different ways. First, our stores offer new and gently-used clothing, furniture, and household goods for sale to the general public at affordable prices. All profits from the sale of goods in our stores are re-invested in our other programs and services. Secondly, the stores also serve as a distribution point for those in need to receive necessary items free of charge through our Conferences of Charity voucher program.
All of our stores rely on donations from the community. St. Vincent de Paul makes it easy to give – and give to others. Need a little more closet space? Cleaning out the attic or garage? Not a yard sale kind of person? Your donation helps fund our programs for the homeless and working poor. Most gently used furniture, appliances, clothing, and household items are greatly appreciated. From working appliances to sporting goods; from tools to household furnishings; from dishes, flatware, and pots and pans to linens and bedding; all of your donations are put to use. Items that we can't sell in our stores are sold to recyclers. Nothing ever goes to waste. And we make it easy to donate! Items can be dropped off at any one of our 17 locations throughout central and northern Arizona.
We greatly appreciate you thinking of us when making your donation. We are unable to accept firearms and weapons, recyclable items (i.e., newspapers, aluminum cans, plastics, etc.), water heaters, evaporative coolers, garage doors, mirrors without frames or other panes of glass, fluorescent light tubes, or flammables and chemicals (including propane tanks or gas powered lawn equipment currently containing gas/fumes). NOTE: We are able to pick up your gas-powered equipment if they no longer have gas in them and are no longer emitting flammable fumes.
