it's better to give |
i'm ready to helpToday's economic climate continues to impact many individuals and families in our community. With unemployment hovering around 10%, and rising food and fuel costs, more and more people are turning to St. Vincent de Paul for help. The Phoenix Diocesan Council for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has been serving hope to individuals and families throughout central and northern Arizona since 1946. It is only through the help of those with charitable hearts like yours that we are able to continue to serve so many. Thank you for your generosity and prayers. You make St. Vincent de Paul a special place where those who seek assistance and those who offer it are joined together through God's love. |

az charitable tax creditFor helping the poor, you deserve some credit – some tax credit! When you make a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit allows you to receive a dollar-for-dollar credit if you itemize deductions on your Arizona state income tax return. And we are talking tax credit! It comes right off the top of your tax bill and reduces the amount of state income tax you pay by up to $400 if married filing a joint return and up to $200 if your filing status is single. Help us reach out to the working poor and homeless through our broad array of services. You'll receive the satisfaction of knowing that more than 90 cents of every dollar you donate goes directly to providing our programs and services. |

the circle of angelsA planned gift is any financial gift that takes effect at death or requires a document such as a trust, gift annuity or will. These types of gifts allow you, as the donor, to demonstrate your values and beliefs to your family and community and leave a lasting legacy to the causes to which you have committed yourself during your lifetime. The Society's Circle of Angels honors those that have included St. Vincent de Paul in their estate plans. Your planned gift will be publicly recognized (unless you prefer to remain anonymous). Join the circle - be an angel today! |

the circle of friendsThe economy's slow recovery has challenged everyone to re-evaluate their lives and decide for themselves what is truly important. Today, St. Vincent de Paul responds to more and more requests for assistance from families and individuals that never before have had to ask for help. 2010 saw program and service expenditures reach a staggering $32 million. Only through the generosity of our donors are we able to help so many. We invite you to join our Circle of Friends. Restoring hope, together with faith and love, is at the very heart of our mission. We are deeply grateful for the support of those who help St. Vincent de Paul light the world around us…one member of the human family at a time. |

donation pickupEach day our trucks travel throughout the community picking up donated furniture, household goods and gently-used clothing. These goods are processed and sent to one of our 17 thrift stores throughout central and northern Arizona. People in need and the general public can shop for low-cost clothing, furniture and other household items. All profits go towards funding St. Vincent de Paul's programs and services to assist the homeless and working poor. We make use of all community donations. Items we can't sell in our stores may be sold to recyclers and these dollars too go back into our programs and services. Nothing ever goes to waste! When you donate to St. Vincent de Paul, you can be assured that your items will be used to help the needy. |

need a handHave you ever passed by someone panhandling on a street corner and thought "I wish there was some way to help this person find the help and support he needs to attain self-sufficiency"? Given the choice, most of us would rather point a person in the right direction instead of just handing them cash. By purchasing our "Need a Hand" cards you can direct someone in need to our programs and services and provide them with the transportation to get there! At the Society of St. Vincent de Paul we provide meaningful help for the homeless |
